Small Business Grants Open in Ashburn, Garfield Ridge, Greater Grand Crossing, Chatham and Avalon Park

City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development announced their Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF), which provides grants for up to 90% of building improvements costs, with a maximum grant of $150,000 for commercial properties and $250,000 for industrial properties. Applications are currently open for projects in the following TIF districts:

• 79th/Southwest Highway
• Cicero/Archer
• 67th/Wentworth
• 79th/Vincennes
• 87th/Cottage Grove
• Avalon Park/South Shore

Applications will open for other neighborhoods in Chicago in January and February.
