We asked Deena for some wisdom from her work this past year and she shared these three tips:
- You have no idea what somebody is going through, so it’s important to lead with grace, kindness, patience and openness.
- I am reminded every day that I love my niche in retail because it’s always reinventing itself and is such an exciting sector – even more so this past year. I’m super fired up to see what 2022 will bring!
- It’s important to always stay in your own lane. If there is an area of real estate that is not within your area of expertise or in your wheelhouse, refer it out or ask for help. Be THE expert in your area of specialty. It’s been a long and often grueling road specializing in cannabis real estate over the past eight-plus years, but I am so happy I followed my passion and stayed focused on being the best I can be for this sector.
