The city of Chicago has placed a six guest per unit restriction on all residential apartments in the city. This restriction was reinstated on Friday, July 24, as part of the Prohibited Gatherings restrictions put in place by the Chicago Department of Public Health.
According to the guidance, “If the Gathering is within a private residence, any gathering of more than six people who do not reside within that household is a Prohibited Gathering.”
On-site staff at larger apartment buildings will be asked to communicate the new restrictions to residents, and on-site signage is asked to be posted.
For more information and guidelines for the new restrictions, visit the city of Chicago’s reopening portal.
